As I'm investigating which 3D TV to buy, the issue I'm struggling with is that I can't compare the 3D TVs side-by-side because they each have 'locked' content on them that can't be changed.  So, my question is what is the best way to determine which TV has the best picture when you can't compare apples to apples on the different TVs (e.g. you can't watch Monsters vs. Aliens on each TV. one TV might have it but the others have other demo content playing with different effects, etc.)?

Have you tried bringing in your own blu-ray and asking to try it out? Unless they're being really stubborn, they should let you try your own media to compare the TVs.

The problem is exactly that - they won't let me bring in my own blu-ray because the demos are locked down. If they swap out the media, they could get in big trouble with the manufacturer. I suppose that I could go to the manager and ask him/her. That may work if I ask nicely :-)

Feel free to stop to any hhgregg store. It would be our pleasure to allow you to view any of our set with the same 3D content.
