So when do you think we will see something like an HBO 3D channel or maybe a PPV 3D channel?

With all the NetFlix and other rental sites and PPV out there I have not bought a DVD in quite some time and it would be great if I could just watch on HBO or PPV.

Maybe Mark Cuban will start the 3DTV channel like he did with HDTV.

DirecTV is planning to launch three dedicated 3D channels this summer. One will be all PPV programming, including movies, sports and other events. Once this launches, other providers will have no choice but to keep up!

As far as HBO, I am guessing they have to weigh whether it's a viable option. If they do decide to go 3D, it will probably be an even bigger premium than what people are paying now. Will subscribers pay for that? It might save people a few bucks on theater fees!

Imagine HBO's Feature Presentation intro (long version), HBO movies, and HBO Boxing in 3D. And Mark Cuban started HDNet, he does not own HBO. And it would be part of Directv's 3D package, U-verse's 3D Technology fee, and part of Comcast's 3D Service. Or it could be a part of the HBO/Cinemax package, I don't know.

On verizon starz and hbo package, I can watch the older 3d movies at no charge. For $7.99, I can watch the new ones in 3d(such as Hugo, Green lantern, etc.
