There's no real need to generate an excuse to go to Disneyland or Disneyworld, but in the unlikely event that someone needed some external motivation to visit these parks the entertainment company provides one with its annual D23 Expo set to start on Friday Aug. 19.
Just prior to the event Panasonic and Disney announced the consumer electronics manufacturer has become the exclusive consumer electronics sponsor of D23 Expo 2011.
As part of its participation in the three-day show, which takes place in Anaheim, Calif., Panasonic will supply Disney with a full array of 3D video components. "D23's first signature event surpassed all of our expectations and our 2011 Expo is already shaping up to be a jaw-dropping, not-to-be missed showcase of the best and brightest Disney has to offer," says Steven Clark, head of D23. We're thrilled that Panasonic will be joining us for the festivities."
At the show the two companies will show their respective 3D products, which includes Blu-ray movies, Blu-ray disc players, flat-panel televisions and projectors. Panasonic's Eisuke Tsuyzaki points out the natural synergies between Disney and his company make Panasonic's participation possible. "There is a great fit between our two brands," explains Tsuyzaki. "The Walt Disney Studios makes incredible 3D entertainment and there's no better way to watch it in the home than on a Panasonic VIERA Full HD 3D TV. The D23 Expo is the perfect venue for us to showcase our latest offerings to Disney's enthusiastic and loyal fan base."
The first D23 Expo drew nearly 40,000 fans and those in attendance saw Disney stars, products and Disneyland's various attractions as part of the event.
