Stop the Eulogies; 3D isn't Dead Yet

Lately it's been easy for detractors of 3D to criticize the long-term health of the video format.
A recent story from Techcrunch.com suggests that despite all of the noise coming from 3D haters they may have to put their rhetoric on hold. According to the website, a study conducted by Strategy Analytics finds that consumers that own 3D TVs are using the products.
The study asked more than 200 consumers in the U.S. and Europe about their television viewing habits and discovered that two-thirds of those polled watched 3D content at least once a week and another 41 percent watch 3D every day.
Strategy Analystics has previously predicted that by 2014 one-third of homes will have 3D TVs, but now it appears it is backing off that earlier prediction. The research firm is however, reminding 3D detractors that it is still too early to determine whether the format will be successful.
