3net Dives into 'Sharks 3D'
Soon you could be swimming with the sharks, all from the comfort of your living room. 3net just announced plans to premiere "Sharks 3D" this Sunday, August 7, 2011.
The newly announced program is designed to cap off the time-honored tradition of Shark Week, which is currently airing on the Discovery Channel. The 3net channel is a joint venture between Discovery, Sony and IMAX.
"Sharks 3D" will be a 24-hour marathon, starting Sunday at 9:00 p.m. Jean-Michel Cousteau, the explorer, film producer, and son of the infamous Jacques Cousteau, will host the event.
Look out for up-close-and-a-little-too-personal shots of the Hammerhead, the Whale Shark, and the Great White. Also, the network plans to air its original show "Shipwrecks." Check out the promo below for more info.
3net is a DIRECTV exclusive, airing on channel 107.
