Time Warner Gets 3D 'Soul'

If you have Time Warner Cable, you've got something new to watch in 3D. Of course, it may not be something good.

The service provider just announced that Wes Craven's "My Soul to Take" is now available on demand and in 3D. Viewers needs a 3D TV, 3D glasses and a compatible Time Warner Cable HD or HD/DVR set-top box.

Here is the film's synopsis: "In the sleepy town of Riverton, Massachusetts, legend tells of the Riverton Ripper, a serial killer with multiple personalities who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the very night he died. On the sixteenth birthday of the Riverton Seven, an unknown assailant begins to murder them, one by one. 'My Soul to Take', Wes Craven's first 3D movie, is a coming-of-age story with edge, humor and pure terror in equal degrees? and a wild and gripping ride from beginning to end." Find out more about the film in our 3D Review Roundup.

"My Soul to Take" is available now on Time Warner's Movies On Demand. Look for it in the 3D category on the HD Movies On Demand channel.

I understand why they want to push what's new out to their customers, but in reality it's such a small portion. There really aren't that many people who have a 3D TV since everyone just bought an HDTV not too long ago. I have and work at DISH Network and I would take HD free for life over free 3D movies any day. Especially since DISH has such a huge selection of HD channels. I get the channels I want to watch in HD for no addition cost on my bill.
