Panasonic Announces 'Avatar' Blu-ray 3D Promotions

The rumors are actually true! Today, Panasonic announced plans to offer "Avatar" on Blu-ray 3D, as an exclusive for customers buying one of the company's 2010 VIERA 3D TVs.

All you have to do to get the goods is purchase a little something from Panasonic's line of VIERA VT or GT Series 3D plasma TVs. From there, you will get the option of a free Panasonic DMP-BDT100 Blu-ray 3D player or $249.95 toward a SC-BTT350 3D home theater setup. Oh, you'll also get the Panasonic 3D Full HD Ultimate Pack, which includes two pairs of Panasonic 3D Eyewear, as well as "Avatar" on Blu-ray 3D. That pack alone is a $399.95  value.

For those of you staring at a previous Panasonic purchase, don't start throwing things yet. If you bought a Panasonic 3D plasma between March 10, 2010 and November 30, 2010, you can claim a free copy of "Avatar" on Blu-ray 3D. All you need to do is mail in the rebate form with your receipt. Models that are eligible include the TC-P65VT25, TC-P58VT25, TC-P54VT25, TC-P50VT25, TC-P50VT20, TC-P50GT25, TC-P42GT25, and TC-46PGT24. Submittals must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2011.
