You could say that Slash has done it all in the world of rock-n-roll. He changed the face of rock music as the lead guitar player in one of the greatest rock bands of all time: Guns & Roses; gone on to form Velvet Revolver and had a long and successful solo career.
In the midst of all this he's become a media personality through VW commercials, paid appearances with businessmen like Bill Gates and comedic skits with Conan O'Brien.
His career, while far from over could be considered complete now that he has released a 3D version of his "By the Sword" video, which is on his latest, self-titled solo album.
Unfortunately, the Les Paul slinging, top-hat wearing guitar god's 3D video, which also stars guest singer Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother isn't airing on U.S.-based cable networks. Marketsaw.com reports the video is available only to Canadian subscribers of the Rogers Communications Inc. cable service.
According to Marketsaw, the video was originally released internationally this summer and it takes place as a Mad Max-like post apocalyptic world. Understately, the rock star says that it's exciting to have the stereoscopic version of the video airing north of the border. "It's really cool to be broadcast in 3D in Canada," says Slash in the story.
