Tarzan Swings into 3D
Tarzan will swing again -- but in 3D.
According to Variety, German film company Constantin Film has acquired the rights to Edgar Rice Burrough's classic, with plans to make an animated 3D movie. Of course, the character has seen many incarnations before; Disney even had an animated version in 1999.
Robert Kulzer and Reinhard Klooss will serve as producers. This is not Kulzer's first 3D endeavor; he's attached to the upcoming action flick Resident Evil: Afterlife, as well as The Three Musketeers. Klooss is also working on the animated 3D adventure Animals United.
Hopefully the 3D Tarzan will make it to theaters before the long-rumored live-action version. Warner Bros. has been kicking that idea around since 2003.
