Sony to Limit PS3 3D Capabilites to PSN Games, No 3D Blu-Ray Movies For Now
Categories: Video Game Hardware
Were you eagerly awaiting the ability to play your new copy of Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D using your PS3 come June? Turns out you may be waiting longer... much longer, if you're to believe Steve May from Home Cinema Choice.
According to him, Sony's up and coming 3D upgrade for the PS3 will only enable 3D capabilities for games on the Playstation Network only. 3D support for Blu-Ray movies will supposedly come later in the year.
On the bright side, those who purchase the soon-to-be-released HX803 TV will get to download four 3D PSN games free of charge, consisting of Wipeout HD, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN and Super Stardust HD.
